Karthikeya is a physician from Hyderabad who respects reason and science. Karthikeya travels to Dwaraka with his mother and uncle Sadananda, a follower of Lord Krishna, to fulfil a commitment made by his mother years earlier.
A wounded Rao approaches Karthikeya one evening to confess everything, but before Karthikeya could help him, Rao is abducted. The next day, his mom vanishes, and Karthikeya is detained by the police on murder charges. Karthikeya is investigated by the police well over details Rao is said to have given him in trade for his escape.
