A 2022 American superhero movie called Black Adam will star Dwayne Johnson as the title DC Comics character.

Jaume Collet-Serra is the film's director, and Adam Sztykiel, Rory Haines, and Sohrab Noshirvani are its writers.

Along with Johnson, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo, Sarah Shahi, Marwan Kenzari, Quintessa Swindell, and Pierce Brosnan also appear in the movie.

Black Adam was initially in production and was confirmed to play the antagonist that month, but the filmmakers ultimately chose to give the character his own movie.

On October 3, 2022, Black Adam had its international premiere in Mexico City, and on October 21, 2022, it was theatrically distributed in the US. According to some estimates, the movie failed to recoup its whole cost after marketing and distribution expenses, earning $389 million worldwide against a production budget of $195–230 million.
