In the romantic comedy-drama Mister Mummy, the power couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza will work together again for the first time in ten years.

The main tension in the novel is between a couple who are both nuts and have different parenting philosophies. Amol, a physical education teacher played by Riteish Deshmukh, wed his childhood girlfriend Gugloo, played by Genelia D'Souza, in the movie.

Shaad Ali, noted for his directing work in films like Saathiya, Bunty Aur Babli, OK Jaanu, Soorma, etc., is the film's director. In collaboration with the film's director Shaad Ali's production business Hectic Cinema, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar produced this project under the auspices of T-Series, their in-house production company.

Riteish and Genelia will also make an appearance in the upcoming Marathi movie Ved.
With this film, Riteish makes his directing debut and Genelia makes her acting debut in Marathi.

The duo made their Bollywood cinema debut with the 2003 film Tujhe Meri Kasam.
